Impak is a wholly independent non-profit, non-governmental organization that operates through support from individual and organizational donors. To maintain sound operations, the organization occasionally develops linkages with other organizations, including government. However, its mission and mode of operation is defined solely by itself through its board and constituents.
Impak is inclusive, non-denominational and operates on strictly altruistic and humanitarian principles. Individuals that volunteer for Impak and participate in its programs come from a variety of backgrounds and creeds. Recruits are selected based on their ability to work and persevere in Pakistan, not necessarily limited by their language ability or cultural background.
Impak is focused on development and creating opportunities. It works with non-profit, private and government organizations in Pakistan promoting its cause. Impak believes that even the private sector is vital to promoting opportunities and building civil society. However, Impak does not work with individuals or organizations that compromise its principles.
While emerging from its infancy, Impak is working towards building a structured organization with core values of integrity and transparency.
